Dear Dr. Cable,

Thank you for working with me and helping me through these tough times. You have really made an impact in my seeing -- with both my eyes and also in my life. Thank you so much for giving me a special reason to smile.

Dear Dr. Cable,

How can I begin to tell you how much you've meant to us! You've made Claire feel very special and her weekly sessions fun. The caring, guidance and skills you have shown with Claire have made her anticipate each weekly visit with joy and excitement. To say that the gift of sight you have given is a miracle is not an understatement. By helping her achieve balanced sight, you have expanded her possibilities in education, sports, a future job and her everyday life beyond the horizons. Thank you for giving her this gift which helps her see the beautiful gifts in the world.

My daughter is 10 years old. She had problems with reading over the past 5 years in school. We have had her in special reading groups and a lot of one on one attention. She tried very hard but just could not reading. In one of the monthly parent-teacher group meetings that we had to help with the problem, one of the teachers asked if we had gone to a specialist for her eye.? She had the same type of reading problems with her daughter and suggested an appointment with Dr. Cable.

I made the appointment, willing to try anything to help my daughter to overcome the reading problem. Everyone at the office was so nice, they took time to tell my daughter and I what they were doing as they did it. I was amazed that Dr.Cable found during his routine eye exam that the eyes were turning on and off. The tests that he had done I had never seen her former eye doctor do. Dr.Cable was very patient with her and had her do another test that allowed me to see what she should see and as she read the words I could tell that he was exact,in that her eyes stopped working if it was too hard. We then scheduled another exam that would tell exactly what the problem was and could get the proper therapy from the results.

My daughter was assigned to Pam. Within 4 weeks I could tell a difference not only in reading but self-esteem, other subjects, willingness to try new things and she was much happier. Teachers had made comments of how much she had improved at school. We are now towards the end of therapy and my daughter is doing great. I have told many people about how great Dr. Cable, Pam and the rest if the staff are. The improvements are far beyond anything I could have thought could be reached.

In meeting with the teachers again, three out of 10 people in the room had children who had needed eye therapy. It had worked for the other two teachers with their children and I know it is working for my daughter. Many times we think that children are just not trying, when it could be a problem with the eyes that can be corrected. The only thing I wished I could change: that someone would have told me about Dr. Cable sooner.
